About 156 light-years from Earth, the hot planet of GU Psc b sits in existence. This planet may only be 100 million years old. Because of its youth, GU Psc b is still cooling. It currently sits at about 800 degrees Celsius. The planet is about 11 times larger than Jupiter and it is 2000 times farther from its sun than Earth is from our sun. It is so far away from its sun that one year on GU Psc b is like 163,000 years on earth. Astronomers spotted GU Psc b as a speck of infrared light, and there is a slight chance that it is a very dim and lightweight star.
